Raising the Bar in Goal-line Technology – CNBC Interview

As a solutions provider, we work with a multitude of industries. The sports industry only represents a small portion of the fields we serve. It just so happens that the sports industry has really reached out to us lately. They’re telling us of their fans disappointment in poor calls reliant on out-dated replay technology.

Sports are a tremendous piece of our culture and we get riled up over bad calls, especially in championship-type games. With VidOvation on the fore-front of goal-line technology, this issue may soon subside. This CNBC interview features controversy over recent calls in professional sports. The interview wraps up with Jim’s brief explanation of how the VidOvation In-Net GoalCam’s are renovating the goal verification and replay systems for the NHL.

Rookie Camera Operator

Today I operated a broadcast camera during a live event at Saddleback Church.  It was  fun and exciting to work with such a great team.  The band Everfound and guest pastor Craig Groeschel were fantastic and inspiring.  I look forward to serving again soon.

Icarus was Right – Fly Closer to the Sun with Seth Godin

I had the extreme pleasure of meeting Seth Godin last night. His latest book, The Icarus Deception, recounts the story of Icarus who flew too high and too close to the sun and drowned in the Ocean.  According to Mr Godin, the story was actually changed.  Originally it was considered dangerous to fly too low and you would get stuck in the murky fog.

Icarus had it right - Fly closer to the sun

Seth states that we have to create ART and stand out in a world of abundant choices.  There are too many media choices and volumes of information on the web giving customers and consumers ABUNDANT choices.  Icarus had it right, we need to FLY CLOSER to the SUN.  We need to be extraordinary  The products we make and the services we provide need to be art and unique so we have a chance of standing out in a world of over abundance and too many choices.

At VidOvation we strive for the extraordinary.  We excel at understanding our clients business so we can help solve their problems and issues.  Lets follow Seth and create more ART in everything we do.
