Robust signal transmission enables live broadcasts anywhere in the world: In addition to the internal custom antennas, the PRO180+ supports most of the cellular networks deployed in the world, including Europe the Middle East, Africa, the United States, Canada, Latin America and most of Asia. Its versatility gives broadcasters the flexibility to travel everywhere in the world with a single unit without needing to replace its internal or external cellular modems.
Compact, lightweight, and portable design is perfect for in-the-field use: Weighing about 1Kg, the portable PRO180+ can be easily connected to any professional camera (e.g., SD/HD SDI, analog [BNC] and HDMI) and mounted via V-Mount, Gold Mount, or PAG plates. By providing broadcasters with a video uplink system that is easy to transport, the PRO speeds up newsgathering operations.
Simple use and control enable rapid newsgathering: The PRO is designed to automatically detect real-time network capabilities. Through a user-friendly and intuitive touch-screen interface, the PRO allows any on-the-go media professional to easily configure and operate the system as well as communicate with the studio through the IFB return channel. The units can also be controlled by the transceiver (STREAMHUB), the Management System (MANAGER), the Remote smartphone application or any device connected to the unit through the network.
Live and Files Forward over Wireless Networks
The PRO180+ has 8 internal 3G or 4G universal modems with high gain custom antennas, plus an internal Wi-Fi modem to stream a live video or forward files over bonded wireless networks.
Two AVIWEST QUAD wideband external cellular antenna arrays can be plugged into the 8 MCX antenna connectors on the unit front panel to strengthen the signal transmission in a critical environment such as live from crowded areas (street demonstrations, sports stadiums, etc.) or from vehicles on the move.
Live and Files Forward over Satellite & Cellular Networks
The PRO180+ can stream over KA band and use cellular links as a back-up or complementary connection. It enables starting streaming a live over cellular connections while driving to a location, before switching to KA band once the satellite dish is pointed. This bonding mode also ensures the transmission reliability when the performance of the KA band decreases, particularly in case of bad weather conditions or a drop in bandwidth due to a congested network.
Live and Files Forward over Satellite
The PRO180+ is compatible with the major portable satellite uplink solutions such as Inmarsat BGAN, GX, Thuraya or KA band. It can also feed any kind of satellite modulator thanks to its MPEG-2 TS ASI output.
Live and Files Forward over LAN/WAN
The PRO180+ can stream a live video over bonded IP networks to a StreamHub or to any kind of H.264 receiver from professional IRDs (Integrated Receiver and Decoder) to VLC player.
Live to any CDN
The DMNG system supports the needed protocols to stream a live high definition video directly to the Web or through any CDN (Content Delivery Network) or video streaming service platform.
PRO180+ Supports an Extensive Array of Cellular Networks, Streamlining Video Delivery for Broadcasters and Video Professionals From Anywhere in the World
DMNG PRO video uplink series has been extended with the new PRO180+. PRO180+ supports most of the cellular networks deployed in the world, including Europe, the Middle East, Africa, the United States, Canada, Latin America, and most of Asia. The versatility of this version gives broadcasters and video professionals the flexibility to travel anywhere in the world with a single unit without needing to replace its internal or external cellular modems.
“Broadcasters today need to be prepared to provide live coverage from anywhere in the world,” said Erwan Gasc, CEO at AVIWEST. “With the PRO180+, they can stream video over any cellular network. Compared with other video uplink systems on the market, which require additional modems to support the various networks in each country, the PRO180+ solution is compact, cost-effective, and full featured, making it the perfect tool for broadcasters on the go.”
In addition to eight universal cellular modems, the PRO180+ features an internal high-efficiency custom antenna array, a built-in Wi-Fi modem, and two best-in-class video encoders, enabling broadcasters to stream live HD video to receivers with minimal delay. Through its compact, lightweight, and portable design, the PRO180+ dramatically speeds up newsgathering operations.
The PRO180+ system automatically detects real-time network capabilities, allowing on-the-go media professionals to easily configure and operate the system as well as communicate with the studio through the IFB return channel via a user-friendly, touch-screen interface. The units can also be controlled by AVIWEST’s Manager management system, StreamHub transceiver, and the Remote smartphone application or any device connected to the unit through the network.
The backpack is perfectly suited for users utilizing the PRO with a handheld camera. The PRO backpack includes multiple compartments and pockets capable of holding all the necessary video uplink equipment, a notebook or tablet, and any required cables. Two compression straps located on each side of the rear zipper allow users to attach a lightweight tripod to the backpack. Additionally, a protective rain cover keeps equipment safe in the event of poor weather conditions. The versatile backpack can be worn on the back or front.
The PRO Rain Cover is a custom-fit, protective cover made using a water-resistant and abrasive-resistant fabric. It protects the unit with its external battery against rain and shocks. The cover is perfectly suited for users utilizing the PRO with a shoulder camera. It can be used when the unit is plugged on the back of a camera and is compatible with the use of a camera body armor such as a Portabrace one.
